ABOUT ME
Dr. Butt is a project scientist and project manager at the University of California Pavement Research Center, Davis/Berkeley. Dr. Butt’s research focuses primarily on sustainable transport infrastructures. He is working on several state and federal funded projects; some research topics include life cycle assessment (environmental and social), urban metabolism, complete streets, pavement-vehicle interaction, etc. Dr. Butt serves as an advisory board member of the Pavement Life Cycle Management project funded by the Conference of European Road Directors. He also serves as a reviewer for several prestigious journals. Research and teaching are his passion!
